Trust, reliability and professionalism set Nandi Housing apart in Bangalore’s real estate industry. The KGR Excellence Award will honour employees who embody this.
Earlier this month Nandi Housing presented the first ever KGR Excellence Award to three deserving employees for their outstanding display of professionalism and principles. The KGR Award was introduced in honour of the late K.G. Ramaswamy (1945 – 2020), Technical Director of Nandi Housing.
KGR left behind more than a legacy in stone, but one of invaluable ethics too. All of which we still embrace and aspire to today. It has helped us create a respectful and
nurturing work environment designed to help people grow and achieve their goals even as we achieve ours.
KGR’s leadership style earned him the devotion of his team for the 41 years he served Nandi Housing, and even after. From him we learnt that integrity builds better teams than efficiency, that instilling a deep sense of duty can give a person great purpose, that one must love what they do and do it well, the importance of being fair even when it costs you and finally to create a workplace that is secular and inclusive.
He dedicated his life to making Nandi Housing a brand that was honourable in every sense. Just days before we lost him, he left us with these words of wisdom and encouragement that hold true even today:
“Dear NHPL,
Looking ahead, the outlook should be positive, mood upbeat and enthusiasm infectious.
Our biggest asset, not reflected in the balance sheet is the committed and passionate work force that steers us forward successfully. I salute their spirit that motivates them to constantly deliver the best and surpass themselves.
We have all the ingredients for a very bright future. Our team is passionate and fully committed and raring to go, cover new grounds and scale new peaks in the days to come!”

Completed 5+ years at Nandi Housing. Started as an ordinary worker, and scaled the ranks to become a marking mason. Ensures high standards of quality, is proactive and honest.
